help with dynamic values, automatically getting values from Database

Friends,
I have written a SQl qry in command statement and i would like create a parameter on Names , it should automatically display what are current values present in database for user slection. In the report fron end i created parameter and selected option Dynamic and then insetred name field. But it says it failed to get the LOV's. Any help on this friends?

Does your universe enable the LOV? This sounds like a security issue. What is the exact error you are getting.?
