Hello Everyone,

I have created a dynamic list of values in "Business View Manager" using ODBC & used this dynamic list in one of my crystal report and its working fine. Also I published the same report to Business Objects Enterprise & its working fine in Infoview.

I have used the same dynamic list in 2 other crystal reports and it worked. And all of a sudden the reports stopped working from Crystal Designer as well as in Infoview.

Crystal designer is giving the following error:

Prompting failed with the following error message: 'List of values failure: fail to get values. [cause of error: failed to open the connection] Error source: prompt.dll Error code: 0x8004380D

In Infoview when I click on the parameter to supply a value it's giving the following error:

An error has occurred: Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004100D.

I am using Crystal Reports XI R2, Business Objects XI R2 and SQL Server 2008 database.

Please advise.

Thanks

Has anything changed with the ODBC DSN on the report server (not your local machine)? I would also log in to the Business View Manager and check the data foundation (_DF entry) for the LOV to make sure that it is still set up correctly.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

I will find out.

I was off yesterday, sorry for the delay in response.
