Help with Domain Resolution

Hello,

Not really sure if this is the right forum, but here goes. I have a domain

http://www.whatever.com.

This works great. What I want is if I type in whatever.com that this will point to

http://www.whatever.com.

Instead it currently goes straight to the server hosting the DNS server. I am running my own DNS server. I have the site registered at catalog.com and the DNS servers point to my DNS. I then route them to the IP of the hosting company for my website. Like I said, no problem with using the

http://www in

the front. Is there a DNS entry I need to make?
