I need to implement an OSPF (Cisco) Routing protocol into a 3Com (RIP) Domain, mainly because our network has out grown RIP.
The problem I have is with distribution between the two.
On the Cisco router I have the following config. Onj the 3Com corebuilder only RIP is running (version 2)
router ospf 100
redistrbute rip metric 1 subnets
network 172.16.0.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
router rip
version 2
network 192.168.149.0
redistribute ospf 100 metric 1
The above seems to work, but when I start subnetting the addresses on the Cisco 4908 (ie using 255.255.252.0) the routes are not passed to the RIP domain.
