help with dataset xsd

Hi,

I was wondering if someone can explain or link me to a site or thread that explains how to update an xsd.

I have an .net 2008 application/project (written by someone else) which uses dataset (.xsd). I need to add three fields in a table linked to one or more of these .xsd. Can I update all of them or do I have to delete and recreate? If I can update how? not sure I even know how to recreate the xsds if thats what needs to be done.

Thanks for your help, Please point me in the right direction
