Help with control

I have a movie in a web page that acts as my navigation. The buttons are lined up across the top of the stage and when you move the mouse over them the become larger and center themselfs on the stage, at that point the user can click on them and change the content of the page. What I would like to do is have a second movie or scene that plays just a part of the main movie when the users mouse is not inside the movie area and changes back to the main movie when the mouse enters the movie area. The problem is I have no idea how to do it.

Any suggestions would be greatly apprecitated.

You mean when the mouse is over the rest of the html page, excluding the movie area?

Have you tried with a hitTest on the whole movie area?

I am fairly new to Flash. Could you explain how I would do that.
