- Using CR8
- Downloaded and installed scr8 from crystal.
- compiled report ok.
- When executing the .exe allow the user (via window style) to control which options to appear viewing the report. I would like to limit the user the option of what to be selected or not.

Please advise
thank you

You'll need to integrate the report in VB - easy to do, you can then define everything the user can do. The compiled report thing is on its way out so probably best to stop using.

Thanks for responding,
I am trying to find a quick way for now.
I know that crystal discourage using this method and they are going into WCS. (Web Component Server).

You can put together the VB app in two minutes - just use the RDC, create app with existing report, turn on/off the required toolbar buttons then compile to a VB executable - takes no longer than creating compiled reports. The distribution is more reliable too.
