Help with Compaq LJ600 Printer

I installed a new cartridge into the printer and now the paper jam light flashes which means the cartridge is jammed. The cartridge isn't jammed and now it won't print. I have unplugged, uninstalled, wiped the rods, everything! Nothing works. Any suggestions?
