help with cold fusion/apache

i have red hat 9.0 - cold fusion 5 server - and apache (httpd 2.0.52)...i am pulling my hair out trying to get this working. is there a guide somewhere? i have looked everywhere. or can someone give me a simple plan of attack?

i have been able to get apache and cold fusion installed and running, but could not load the cold fusion administrator. i could load a simple .cfm page locally, but not from another machine on the network.
