I e-mailed a calender that was done with Micorosoft Home publishing software. The computer I e-mailed it to does not have this program, but it does have Front Page. Can I get into the document and edit it through front page or is there another way that I can edit it?

Thank you

Beth,

Microsoft has so many versions of Publishers I can't say for sure one wont work (it would need to have a conversion item in the menu because it most likely won't open a .htm file). Even if it does open it you are not likely to get results you'll be happy with.

I'm guessing that you don't want to edit the HTML by hand from the code (which you could do right in notepad).

I have a somewhat limited but still great web builder program that anyone who uses FrontPage will have no trouble using. It won't do anything fancy but you can edit static pages with no problem. (There's a glitch in the background image, that needs to be edited by hand...yell if you need help with that.)

You can download the program (free) from: I got this from the teenager who wrote it who was also going to make some changes to it for me but he lost the source code and is on to more interesting teenagey kinds of things. I haven't had a chance to write any tutorials for it yet but you really shouldn't need them. It's very simple and it works more like FP than any other program we've seen.

Good luck,
