We are being required to change all of the IP addresses on our PBX system. We have Modular Messaging and One X Mobile, so these systems will be effected as well. On the PBX, we have: CLANs, Medpros, IPSIs, as we have G650 EPNs, I know these IP addresses have to be changed also. How should we approach this with respect to the PBX, regarding making the changes? If you list Node-Names, on the PBX, there are about 12 or so IP addresses that will need to be changed to a different subnet. Any help regarding this would be appreciated.

I can't say how One-X Mobile will be affected. Modular messaging will depend on your configuration. What version and do you have MSS or Exchange or other to hold the VM's?

CLANs, MedPros ... Primarily "change ip-interface XXXXX" and change node-names ip should get you through most of it. <<That thread details it
IPSI - <<Read that FAQ -- it tells you how to set the IP address on the IPSI.

Of course, you also need to change the IP address on the actual phone system servers (S8x00)... login to the web interface. From the installation menu choose "Configure Server". Press yes through the prompts, then choose to Configure Individual Services. From you will see pages that will let you assign interfaces and IP addresses. Save afterwards.

Also, if you could post a copy of your node-names that would be nice. You can change things one-by-one, you don't have to have all your equipment in one subnet as long as there isn't much latency between them and you can route between them, but I'd try and get it all done quickly as possible.

Do you have IP Phones? Do they register to PROCR? If not, now's your time to get it done.

Thanks "randycarroll" for the response. In answer to your first question regarding MM, we have an MSS for storage, and two MAS servers. I hear that Modular Messaging doesn't like its IP addresses to be changed and it could cause problems. We are doing more research on this to find the best approach. Regarding the CM, it does seem more straight forward and using the Change Node-Names will probably do the trick for that. I wasn't sure where to change the IPs on the actual (87xx) servers, but thanks for that info. We were wondering where to start, PBX, VM, etc? We don't have many IP phones yet, so that will make it easier. We are using processor over ethernet for registing of the phones.

I can't give solid advice on the MM, but I'd imagine most of it is configurable through the MSS servers web interface, and then you just login to the MAS and use the "Configure VM Server" tool to repoint the rest of it. I'm hoping someone else can chime in here...

I'd start by moving your whole PBX over, maybe on a weekend if that works with your business. I'd move all the core stuff (CLAN/medpros/IPSIs/PBX servers etc). Then start working on Modular Messaging and all that.
