OK get your caps on,

I have a foriegn PC built in Aussie Land.

Generic Taiwan Mother Board
Looks like SOYo

CPU: AMD 1ghz ?
Network card
Modem
Video card
scsi jaz drive card

Problem: Will not boot since removed from shipping to USA
POwer starts, Yellow lamp stays lit, No more system interaction. Reset doesn't work. Power Button takes 8 second delay relay to shutt system off, That works fine.

Grounds on plugs are good.
Power Levels on 5 v and Amps are good, per Previous SoYo board specifications <which I have from Previous install> are similar and work fine. Hard drive gets power, CD and Floppy drives get power within Specs. BUT the CPU doesn't boot. The CPU fan is working

HELP, Can the FCC number tell me what Board manufacturer is?

Is there a Pin I need to move to make compatible with USA power routing??? I am grasping at straws.

Australian mains voltage is 240v - there might be a switch on the PSU to change between 240v and 110v. Otherwise you might need a new PSU.

Kim Leece.

Hi there,

what KimLeece said is true... there should be a switch at the back of the PC where the Plugs are that you can switch between the voltages... if not... go to a lokal PC shop and purchase a new PSU (preferrable one that can be Switched)...

if you don't opt for the above... all american households have 220v installed for the Washingmaschine and/or Dryer area... (at least my house did in GEORGIA)... where I had plugged in my Mighty Miggy *Amiga* back ten years ago...

Greets from Germany...
