I have a BCM50 system with voip and ip phones keycodes installed. The system is configured and working fine. We have 10 IP telephones functioning and we needed 2 analog telephones on the sistem. I connected those phones over a LEVEL one voip gateway and all is running fine except that we cant transfer calls to these analog phones over voip trunks. I have BCM50 ver 2.0 .
When we try to transfer the call, the analog phone is ringing and after answering all is running fine until i press the join button on Nortel IP phone that is doing the transfer. After that me and the caller on the other side cant hear nothing. The call is established but i cant hear anything.

Thx for the help in advance.

tnx for a reply

no, the analog phones are connected to the voip gateway and the gateway is connected to the BCM50 over voip trunks.

What call are you transferring to the VoIP gateway? IP set? TDM call? Who is getting cut off? Are these devices in the same subnet?

ok let me try be more clear.

VoIP GATEWAY -------switch ------- BCM50 ----- BRI (2 lines)

analog phone ip phones (10 of them)

the gateway and the BCM50 are on the same subnet (switch is a layer 2 switch with no special settings)

so now, i get a external call on ip phone (over BRI) and when i try to transfer that call to the analog phone there is a problem. the analog phone is ringing but when someone answer it it is silent. everything else is working, i can call analog phone over BRI directly (using target lines), i can call externaly with analog phone, it all works perfect. I just cant transfer the call

Hope i was more clear on this

Hi,

can you make a call from the IP Phone to the analog phone?

Sounds like a trunk to trunk transfer issue since the VoIP gateway is a trunked endpoint.

Have you verified all your settings including remote access packages?

well it all sounds ok and work ok except this transfer problem, voip trunks use remote access packages so that analog phones can dial out over BRI trunks.
