help with basic authentication and default domain prob

Hi all,

running exch 2003 on windows 2003 server, non DC.

suddenly, I am no longer able to login to OWA with just username and password only. I have to put in the domain name and I don't know why.

I went into system manager, under http protocol, exchange and folders has the netbios domain name in there.

Also, IIS has the fqdn address in exchange and folders.

Nothing is in the event log. I have rebooted.

I am at a loss to explain the problem. Any advice?

wondering if you change IE's language order recently?

i beleive there is a setting somewhere to set the default domain name to your domain in IIS.
I have it setup through a customised OWA logon page where the user enters there username & password and then when you click login it will enter the domain netbios name and log the user in.
