Help with ATLAS System 56

I have recently inherited a customer with an ATLAS System 56. In the past 2 weeks their buttons have defaulted twice and the v-mail has stopped accepting transfers. I have ensured that the power has not been disconnected and that the battery switch is in the on position. The system does not default, the time and date stay correct at least. I have also had some difficulties trying to find documentation for this sytem. Anyone with any help or suggestions? Much appriciated.
