Help with a Pickup Group Situation

I have a customer with an S8300 running CM 5.1.2, I setup a vector as the companies Auto Attendant and have a transfer to the Accounting dept. The Accounting Dept is setup into two groups, payable and receivable, these two groups are cover answer groups that you transfer to from the vector steps. The accounting manger wants to be able to pick up calls from both cover answer groups, she sits in an isolated office so she cannot see or hear the calls to the two departments.
I tried to add a phantom extension to each cover answer group and add a bridged appearance of the two phantom extensions to her phone but the phantom extensions wouldn't ring, I know that one extension cannot appear in two separate call pickup groups so I am at a loss of how to make this work.
any suggestions...

Did you try setting up a terminating extension group and adding that to the cover path?

I am not familiar with the useage of a TEG.
would I be replacing the CAG with the TEG and assignig a TEG button to the managers phone?

Actually, you would be putting the TEG into the CAG... I've never tried it, but it MIGHT work.

Oh... did you make sure that "bridged call alerting" is set to "Y" on the manager phone?

If the TEG doesn't work, how about putting an analog line into the CAG, and adding a bridged appearance of the an analog line on the manager's desk?

Remember that send-all-calls or any "out of service" condition takes a station out of a CAG.

I tried but you can not add a TEG to a CAG, the system doesn't allow it.
I will try adding these station to TEG's instead of CAG's and add the TEG's button to the managers phone.
I originally turn on bridged call alerting and added bridged appearances of two phantom extensions in the CAG to the managers phone but they didn't ring.

Have you tried to put the number in both coverage answer groups? a number cannot be in two pick up groups but they can be in two coverage answer groups and the phone will ring whenever either number is rings.

I think what Annielou is asking is have you tried to put the account managers extension in both groups. An extension can be in more then one cover answer group.

I see.
Yes, I did make that suggestion however the manager wants to be able to distinguish the two departments halves with a separate button for each as opposed to just having the calls from both halves of the department just ringing in on her call appearances.
Is what led me down this path to begin with, I would have figured that the phantom bridged appearances with in the cover anwser groups would have worked but alas it did not..

Sounds like the only way to accomplish this may be with a second phone in her office. Or, the old analog port to trunk trick I've used on different systems over the years. Have an analog line as a member of each answer group. Connect those to an analog trunk port, one trunk group named Payable, the other Receivable. The destination of those could be her main line as the displaty would show the trunk group. Or, the destination could be a unique line that would appear on her phone for each dept.
