Ok I am very new to spreadsheets and need a bit of help with a formula. I am using the following one

=QUOTIENT(E3;F3)

That works well, but, when the result is 0 instead of putting a 0 in the column is there a way that is can stay blank?

Thanks alot

Moira

You need to apply a format code to the cell.

for example a format code of

0;-0.00;;

Would show only the integer part (rounded) for positive numbers, two decimal places and a leading minus sign for negative numbers and nothing if the value is zero.

oh that worked great! thank you very much
