We currently have a 24/7 service that is handled externally, that rings various mobiles in different orders from week to week.
It has been asked of me to try and bring the service into the Mitel, but I'm not sure how it can be achieved 100%.
My first idea was to have the 24/7 non geo number, to come into the system and then go to a ring group. The ring group would have speed calls to the mobiles which it would check in turn (obviously recalling the call before the mobile vm kicks in) Depending on who is on call, would dictate which speed calls in the group would be present. That bit in theory should work. The problem I have is that ring group orders are not flexible. If you wanted to change the order, you would have to remove the members and put them back in in the other you want them to ring.
I also through of setting up a dummy extension, and then the managers can use the desktop manager to change the call forward destination. The problem with this is that you can only forward to one destination.
Any idea's would be appreciated. We have the following at our disposal, a Mitel 3300 MXe MCD 4.0, embedded voicemail, Unified Communicator Advanced 4.0, Mobile Extension, Mitel Border Gateway and CCM.
