my partner in crime and myself are having trouble getting a calculation to work on a report. Below are the entries that appear as part of a quarterly sub total. As part of the sub total, I also have to determine the average % abandoned. To just say AVG for the monthly % figures is not correct. I need to take the TotAband as below and divide by the Sum of TotOffer. Have tried several differnt combos. any ideas how to make my calculation work?

=Sum([TotAband])
=Sum([TotOffer])

Have you tried to take the two sums and divide them
Assign the sums and divide them
i.e.:
intAvg = intSumTotAband/intSumTotoffer

I believe that I have. If I take SumTotAband/SumTotOffer or {SumTotAband]/[SumTotOffer] I get no result other than a parameter box coming up. Does not seem to like combining the work Sum with the field name. Any other thoughts?

Hi!

Try:

=Sum([TotAband])/Sum([TotOffer])
