Hi all, I found this formum while searching the web for any possible solution to my problem. I searched within the site but wasnt too successful. I did try some things I read from other posts, but nothings been a permanent fix yet. Hopefully someone can shed some light on my issue!!
Ok,
1) My Aloha terminal was setup from my franchise corporate office so i don't know really too many specifics off hand.
2) It's older and runs off Windows 95.
3) It will not grind the previous day sales. I get an error regarding the grind failure due to 'gift cert file'. I don't have the exact message in front of me but I will see it again tomorrow morning and post it.
4) I have been copying the gnddbf30.xxx file into the date the computer is trying to grind as a temp fix so we can use the register.
5) And lastly, This started when the manager was deleting some of the older date folders to free up space. I've been on w/ our corporate helpdesk and had one of the IT guys dial in, but he didn't really explain anything or fix the grinding issue so I would really like to solve this without paying out another $100/hr for sub par help.
I've been reading other posts w/ the same issue but nothing has been 100% in solving this.
Thanks for your time!
