help-Virus lovesan.a will not be killed! Help!

Hi,
I received this virus about 4 months ago. I have tried everything I possibly can to kill it. Norton antivirus, A.V.G, symnatec athing called sting. However it goes when I use A.V.G on it. However when i go back on the internet it always returns. I get a virus message up that says;

Virus
Virus identified Worm/lovesan.A
is found in file C:\system volume information\restore_(2f48-db66-4351-b470-5260c665c34\rp6\a000314.exe
to remove this virus, please run AVG for windows.

I do run avg it goes then comes straight back again. Is it really gone and this error message is some how faulty?. Can I go into my system and manually remove it. Is there a patch I can put in my computer to stop it coming back? please help. No one i know has the answer.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Aha, also known as Blaster. Try running this :

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixBlast.exe

Then, to be sure, this :

http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/FixWelch.exe

and then download and install this :

http://download.microsoft.com/downl...f-7a61b46b23bf/WindowsXP-KB824146-x86-ENU.exe

That'll clean the virii (second one if present) and apply the patch to block 'em out.

The worm is located in your system restore files. Turn off system restore:
In XP, right click My Computer -> Properties -> System Restore tab.
In ME:

Run the removal tools again, once you have disabled system restore and you should be finally rid of it.
