Hi,

I'm a newbie to the tv-out feature... I have a PowerColor Geforce 4 Ti4200 with an S-Video Tv-Out...

I have the little adapter SVideo-to-RCA and a RCA cable 3'.

I plug everything right : Out of the card and video in of my VCR.

In put my video on "Line in"...

I reboot my computer.. go in properties and in the Nvidia stuff... I click on "Auto-Detect" and my TV is not detected !?!

I'v try this on my laptop too (a SIS650 graphic chipset) and nothing work at all...

What I'm doing wrong ?

First try connecting the cables directly from your video card to the tv and see if you have an image.

No I don't have any image... And I try in a resolution of 640x480 and 800x600...

I'm sure that the problem is not my video card because I try it with my PC and my Laptop...

I think that it's my adapter S-Video to RCA ? Is it possible ? It looks pretty cheap ;-)

Do you think that a good cable quality is important ? Like the gold connectors and so on... ?

Thanks --------------------------------

check the options in the tv to see what input it wants. I had this problem, but was brain dead when I fixed it, can't remember what it was. when I get home tonight I'll try to figure it out.

Thanks, but I already found my problem [tongue]...

It was my adapter S-Video to RCA that too cheap... So I went to Radio Scrap....oups..Shack...[smile].. to buy a new one... and everything is find now !

Thanks for your answer anyway ! --------------------------------
