Help to Migrating configuration from IPO406 to IPO412.

I want to migrate a system from IPO 406 to IPO 412, keeping the same modules (analog and digital) and configuration.

I made a test but it fault, because the 416 mapping the extension ID different than the IPO406, and I can’t found a solution.

Remember that IPO406 has 6 expansion port, and the IPO 412 has 12.

How is the procedure for make this migration ?

There are any documentation for make this change ?

How the IPO412 make the extension mapping , eg module Analog pots 30+ in the expansion port number 1 has ID from x to x+30. ?

It is possible to export/import the configuration as txt, and make the extension mapping by hand ?

Any help will be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

I would export the users from the 406, then delete all the default users on the 412 and manually change the extension numbers. I've done this before, it doesn't take that long.

Export Configuration Entities.

I have used this method to go from a 406 to a 403 and from a 403 to a 406. Since I have not used this method for a 412 to a 406, I can only speculate about the potential effect of IP addresses in regards to Lan 2.

I would not include control unit properties in any export....but

You should be able to export line, extensions, user, hunt group, RAS, incoming call route, wan, directory, time, firewall, least cost route, license, account code, user restriction, ip route, service, logical lan, tunnel.

If you do not use LAN 2 then you should be able to export and import all of what you need. Be sure to check your work since duplicates can appear after a reboot.

Good luck and double check you work.
