Good day I am new to MS Excel and I would like to know if some one can help me on what I am trying to achieve here.

I have an excel document with two worksheet.

In worksheet 1 I have two column worksheet also.

In worksheet column has a value that match column 1 in my worksheet 2 but the values are not in order.
In workstheet 2 my column 2 is empty and I would like to populate the column with the value that is included in column 2 of my first worksheet.

for instance.

Column one on my worksheet has value 1,2,3,4,5 and column 2 has value 6,7,8,9,10
My column in worksheet1 would look like this.

1 6
2 7
3 8
4 9
5 10

Column in worksheet 2 would look like this.
5
4
3
2
1

What I would like to do is have a formula that would compare the values in both column1 of the worksheets and insert the value in column 2 that match the column 2 of my worksheet 1 so it would look like the following.

5 10
4 9
3 8
2 7
1 6
Not sure if I make my self clear here but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I believe Excel's VLOOKUP(value, array, column) function will do what you want.

could you give me more detail about vlookup?

Vlookup, and every other function in Excel is explained in detail in Excel's help.

Thanks I found the information an it worked perfectly. Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it.
