I am a newbie on Solaris.
Anyone can help me to explain how tool i can use to check the correct status of the my network (more deeply the collision on the net).
I know only the COLLIS parameter in the output report of the netstat -i command.
thanks to all
Walter

You can check from your hub/switch directly.
Hub/Switch got amber LED on (collision)and trace which network port caused the collision.
Or you got snmp software (like cisco work or HP open view) to manage your hub/switch.So you can check the network collision from your network management software.
Good Luck....:)

netstat -i will give you the collisons total

collision # divided by opkpts will give you the percentage.

Usually a precentage of 10% and over is bad.

A high collision rate normally is caused by a busy network.

I have read on the SunSolve web site a document (number 21622) of a particula tool with the name SE. This document speak about the performance. SE tool can give me an information about the network ?????
Thanks a lot
Walter
