i have created a folder called ASP and in that folder I have created a test page called test but when i type in i get nothing??

Could someone help me with this please

either type:

or

http://[computername]/ASP/test.asp

replace [computername] with the name of the server the site is running on

or

http://[ipaddress]/ASP/test.asp
replace [ipaddress] with the ipaddress of the server the site is running on

to find out ipaddress or computer name(hostname) at the command prompt type (for windows 2000):

ipconfig -all

Or

:)

If 127.0.0.1 works and localhost does not, there should be (in otherwords there is and I don't remember where) a setting that allows you to set this. As I have only done his three or 4 times I don't remember where it is. The dirty way to do it is to go to your C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\host file and edit it with notepad or another text editor (using word or similar programs is baaaaad!) That path assumes windows 2000 pro, 2000 server will be WINNT instead of Windows, don't know for other versions.

For my next trick: I will say something that makes sense!
