I need help..I'm getting the following message in event viewer when I first boot my Windows NT 4.0 server. I have the following listed below setup.

ERROR MESSAGE: Event id: 7024, Source: Service Control Manager, Description: The Messenger Service Terminated with service-specific error 2105.

I'm still getting the same message..I have the following setup.

services - Computer Browser, Microsoft DHCP Server, Novell Client for Windows NT, RPC Configuration, Server, Services for Macintosh, Simple TCP/Ip Services, Workstation

Protocols - NWLink IPX/SPX Compatible Transport, NWlink Netbios, TCP/IP

Bindings - DHCP, Novell Client for NT, Server and Workstation

This is a novell environment. I'm using the Network Client to login. I have IIS 4.0 and DHCP installed. The users to to access this server for both. Intranet and to receive an ip address. This is not a production server. I'm still testing.

Reinstall service pack 6a. That should fix it.

If it doesn't you can probably just disable the messenger service. I don't think DHCP or IIS use that service.

BTW, this should have been posted on the NT server forum. You'd probably get a bigger response there.
