Hey, well i was lookin for a solution to my problem on yahoo and i ended up comin to this site... so hopefully you guys can HELP THE NEWB!! Also i'm not sure which forum to post this at so maybe you can head me in the right direction or actually give me a solution.

Ok heres my question.

I have PPPoE DSL from SBC. I have to connect manually everytime i boot my computer. Its annoying to say the least. I know of (or I think I do) of the connection type called DHCP. I think thats the always on connection type from what i've heard from other people. I know I cant actually change my connection to a DHCP (i think), but i would like to not manually connect each time. Is there a program or setting i can change on my LAN connection like entering a default gateway, ip adress, etc, to make it so i can just click on internet explorer? I think there is a way to get around PPPoE, but i'm the newb here, so you tell me!! PLEAZ!!!

P.S.: I dont mean adding it to my startup folder :p
