All:

My vendor upgraded my software this weekend to 7.0 (I have a MICS), from 6.0) and now when I go to program my target lines to accept DIDs, it only allows me to enter 3- digits. The older version allowed me to enter the 7 digits..

IDEAS? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

under system programming change the # of received digits to 7
- your should be able to do this

Did your vendor upgrade or just change the software (looks like the latter)

we added another PRI card and then he upgraded to 7.0. make sense?

You're the bet senk1s. You just saveed me a big headache... your fix - changing the rec# digits - worked out great.

I appreciate you helpling me out and not telling me to call a vendor.... : ) Plus, he just left.....lol

oh yeah, one more question:

why do my users now have to hit the intercom button to start dialing out? they used to be able to just start dialing...

What is their Prime Line set to in programming? Sounds like it is set to NONE.

Make sure that the dialing method is set to Automatic (User Preferences -> Dialing Options). It is probably set to Standard

that was the answer bwtc. i didn't anticpate having to change all the settings back.. we lost all programming on the switch. now i get to go to every set and make the individual changes.. lucky me

You should be able to copy the user preferences.

But, it will also copy the ring type, auto-logging, language, and contrast settings.

Try going into User Preferences for a set that you have changed to work correctly & press the COPY softkey. Copy it to a SINGLE set & see if everything is still working properly for the set that you copied to.

If so, try copying to a range...
