help speeding .pdf creation 1

Hi all,

i'd like to speed up the .pdf creation of nwrun because it takes us two days and sometimes even more to generate 12000 .pdf with nwrun.exe .. do you know a way of speeding it up ? adding another cpu ? more RAM ? or faster HD ?

Do you experience problems with creating only pdf output or any other (html, text)? I mean, are you sure that the issue is PDF rather than unefficient query? Regards, Dima

As far as my knowledge goes PDF creation does not consume any extra time.

Please check your query using explain plan. I suspect that there is a cartesian product forming in the query itself.

Have you tested the report in the previewer? How long does it take to execute?
