HELP!! somehow I lost all of the variables when I run DEBUG in SSMS

I fumbled my mouse and they all disappeared. restarting SSMS did not fix it nor does dragging a variable down there.
I am lost without knowing what's in the variables while I am debugging.
this is SQL Server Express 2014
The 'Auto' window is there and has headings of Name Value Type but there is no grid or anything showing.
I did manage to turn on the watch window. but this is clumsy.
some of my scripts have a dozen variables.

how do I see the variables again?

I found out how to put it back... its called the Locals window.
