Hi
I've just installed a brand new scsi drive in my ultra 10.
Booted from the solaris 8 cdrom to install, and I get an error message wrong magic number.
I little further on solaris says it can't find the harddrive to install onto.
Is there any preping i need to do, of any special commands.
thx

Ok I've solved half the problem.
The hdd is there.
I managed to install linux, but I noticed that I had to load the kernel module of the scsi card first.
After installtion, rebooted, and bam, noting.
It seems the openboot does not load the scsi card up by default for booting. I know that openboot can see it, cuz when i type probe-scsi-all it lists my harddrive.

The question know is how do i set openboot to boot default of the scsi card.
All loading the scsi card before I install solaris so solaris can probe it.

thx
