I recently completed my VPN Setup. Everything works except when I connect my 98 client to the windows 2000 server through the RAS-VPN(pptp) tunnel, its only @ 9.6K! When I connect that 98 client to the local ISP, its @ 50K and the windows 2000 server RAS-VPN Port is active @ 100M! Why is the tunnel @ 9.6K and not 50K?

Help!

Steve

I am experiencing the same problem and was wondering if this was ever resolved. Steve, if you found the resolution elsewhere, please let me know.

Hello,

I have the same issues.
I found that the problem comes from the gateway between the PPTP server and client, even if no ICMP filtering on the server.
I think that writing connection script to force connection speed at first attempt should work.

What do you think about that ?

Benj Le Kangooru.
