Just a heads-up for all Slackware Linux lovers ( Slackware is in trouble right now, because a company called Wind River bought Walnut Creek (which owned Slackware) but they decided to drop the Slackware project during the acquisition, which means the end of paychecks for the Slackware development team.
Patrick J. Volkerding and the rest of the Slackware team say Slackware is NOT going away ( but they are still in a difficult time, as they scrable to restructure their situation, find a new home for their servers, etc..., and find a way to keep Slackware alive without going broke in the meantime.
