Hi Guys,

I've got a problem and am in need of some help/advice.

I've got a SQL Server database behind a vb.net web front end. An Access database is being used to manage the SQL Server user accounts.

I've found that the person that wrote it has used SHA-1 password encryption. Has anyone writen a module for encryting a plan text password with SHA-1 or can they point me in the direction of a .dll that can do this?????

Cheers guys,
Rob

I am not familiar with SHA-1 encryption, but I did find this link from a google search. Hope this helps.

Cheers for the input but thats for a vb.net use of it and I need to work in VBA. The FormsAuthentication bit is a vb.net thing so can't use this approach...

any more input more than welcome - im struggeling here!
