Please I need help with db security.

I work in a chemistry lab and I have developed a small
database in order to record all the experimental values
from the lab work.

I have placed this ms access file in a shared directory in a
windows 2000 server. I have given permissions (directory)to 3 other pcs running windows 2000.

My question is this.
Is this the correct procedure for security ?
Is there a possibility of recording all the actions the 3 other pcs are doing with the specific msaccess db ?

What I want to avoid is the possibility the other 3 pcs to copy the database data.

What can I do ? Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Check the FAQ area of this forum under Security. faq181-83 is especially good as it points you to a Microsoft document on security. Terry L. Broadbent
