I apparently wasn't paying attention yesterday when I save my maintenance log cause I went to open it this morning and it was gone and something else was in its place. It looks like I saved another log over it.
Is there anyway to retrieve my original file?
I checked the backup folder and nothing was in there.
I am using Win2000pro with Coral Wordperect 8.0

Please please please help

If you are not on a network, the file is gone unless you have a backup copy.

If you are on a network and the backup files in WordPerfect are pointed to a network drive, it is possible that a recovery can be made. It will depend upon the network details.

For the future...Executive Software Undelete keeps mulitple copies of overwritten files.

If you're on a Novell network, you can use a program called Salvage; Go into Windows Explorer, or My Computer; find the folder where the file is saved; right click the folder and click Salvage. Again, this comes with Novell Netware. If you are on a Windows server you will need to contact the network support people to retrieve the file from backup tapes.
