Help running web server dll file

Hi

I am creating a web dll for use in my web site, it is going well but I find each time I test it through the web when I re-link the program i get the following error:

Linker Fatal Error : Could not open c:\

http://wwwroot\project.dll

(program still running?)

I end up having to Restart IIS Services every time before it will link again.

is there a better way to "clear" it so the program is not running once I test it ?
