I created a file in Freehand10 on my G4 eMac with OS10, saved it, and then attached it to an email which I sent. The recipient received a blank fronted file (no FH icon) which opened to reveal unreadable text. I then burnt a CD that included the same freehand file and some photoshop ones and took that along to the recipient. They were able to open the photoshop, but again, not the Freehand. I emailed the FH file to a friend with a PC, which they easily opened and kindly offered to forward to the intended recipient from their computer. AGAIN, the file was unreadable to the recipient. The recipient is a business who is receiving emails all the time and has not experienced similar problems with any other files. They also use mac (and, I think OS10). Any ideas what's causing the problem? Mike

If the file doesn't have the program extension added to the end of it, add it on & try sending that. I frequently receive files that my mac won't open because it seems to think the files are simpletext files. As soon as I add the .qxd or .pm or .fh to the end of the file name, it opens perfectly.

We also always stuff or zip our mac files to avoid weird things happening when emailing.
