Help required in creating a small utility for extracting data.

Hi all,

I want to create a small utility with which i can extract a single record from oracle 8 database into a say .txt file.

and I want the reverse way also i.e from text file i want to store data to oracle table.

In table there is no primary key.

Can any one help me in how to go about ?

I know oracle does have imp80 and exp80 command. But i am bit confused with it when it comes to recursive commands. Also at user level this is not advisable so if through VB I can do something like 2 to 3 clicks and bingo then nothing like it .
