help: removing duplicates in crystal report groups

Hello Friends,

I have a crystal report that contains below groups...

operation_no,
wc_no,
parent_part,
component_part,
next_op

for groups operation_no and wc_no's,
parent_part and component_part get duplicated.

please see below example...

operation_no: 20
wc_no: BR220
parent_part: 068-8187-1
component_part: 802-790

operation_no: 70
wc_no: FR110
parent_part: 068-8187-1
component_part: 802-790

at operation_no 70, i would like to suppress component_part (hide it from the report).

How can I do this? Please help.

Right click in the gray area to the left of the report and Section Expert will pop up.
Find the line for the Group Header and/or Footer that corresponds to component_part.
Click on the blue "X2" formula box next to "Suppress"
Type in: operation_no = 70 (use quotes if it's a string field)
click the Save and Close button

The solution you have suggested above is specific for the example that i have mentioned - (maybe I did not explain my problem well enough)

it's not always operation_no 70 that i have to suppress.

basically, when the parent_part gets duplicated in another operation_no group, i want to suppress the component_parts of the parent part.

operation_no: x [Group A]
wc_no: wc1 [Group B]
parent_part: pp1 [Group C]
component_part: cp1 - [Detail]

operation_no: y [Group A]
wc_no: wc2 [Group B]
parent_part: pp1 [Group C]
component_part: cp1 ---------------------> suppress component_part

There does not appear to be a relationship between Operation 20 and operation 70.

You need to define logic for excluding component_part: 802-790

Just becuase it is repeated under parent_part: 068-8187-1 is not definitive enough.
