Help Remove Trojan Horse

A Win XP computer on my network has detected a trojan horse virus.

it constantly reports that it has found the trojan horse virus located in c:\windows\system32\com3 file. However there is no com3 file when i look in this location.

I am now taking down the latest Windows update and updating my antivirus to see if this will fix it.. However, I want to know if there is an effective removal tool that an be downloaded and run to cure this horse.

Please help ASAP!
