MY
Hai,

I have a very wierd problem with my ASN router, I have upgraded the Flash Card from 8 to 16mb and the Ram from 16 to 24MB. The original router was configured using Site Manger 12, and now I am using Site Manager 15.3. If my ASN router is down due to power trip, then this will happend:

1) My ethernet interface is up
2) Both off my serial port S12 and S13 is down, with it
all my subinterface.
3) If i do a show fr pvc, all the PVC inside my router
will be come Invalid. But if I used the Site Manager
and check the Frame Relay Interface the status will
be active.
4) If I reload the config using boot, the same symptom
happens
5) Then I try to boot using one off the older config, than
all my connections is up, except for the newest subintef
that I have configured.
6) My Telco will advice me each time that there is no
problem with the line and this happend like one in a
few month.

Can some one advice me, what is wrong here. Thanks

What rev BAYRS software are you using? Did you save your updated configuration to the default name(config)?
Using site manager image builder verify your kernel image and any supplemental software.
As a check on your config file copy it to another name and use the boot command to verify the config.
If this router is in production,be careful.

sounds like your config file is duff, this can happen if you make changes to it using the wrong ver of site manager, Try rewriting the config again from last known good cfg. but make sure you have the right ver of sitemanager for router sw.
try running report generator on the config (makes text file) then you can read the file and see if there are any bad lines.
