I am trying to troubleshoot an existing foxpro project and when I tried collapsing a database I am getting an error "No Drilldown information is available" for that database. It is giving me an OK and Validate Button. When I click Ok, the message will just disappear. When I click on the Validate button, it gives me some corruption error.
If somebody experience this kind of error and share what steps have been made to resolve that issue will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi RemingtonSteel

one of the dbc, dct, dcx files is corrupted. I hope you have a recent backup and can just replace the files, otherwise try to VALIDATE DATABASE or open the dbc as a table with USE (dbcfile), then try to find some offending record.

Bye, Olaf.

Thanks Olaf!
I validated the database and gives me 2 errors.

1. Property list corrupted referring to a View object
2. One or more structural indexes missing from DBC referring to a Table Object.

I tried replacing this database but still getting the same errors. I assumed that the original database is corrupted. I also tried reindexing the tables but to no avail.

Any additional input is really valuable.

Hi RemingtonSteel,

You are probable going to have to run Validate Database Recover and give it permission to remove the offending entries from the database. Then you will have to rebuild them. You might want to look at GenDBC in the help file. You can use it to rebuild your database when it gets corrupted.
