Here is the exact text from the error message Im getting:"Disk Write Error,Cannot Write TO Disk Cue to Damaged Or Lost Files".The error seems to be popping up after using the PC for awhile;30 minutes or so.I can simply hit Enter, and resume what I was doing on the computer. Then shortly after it will pop up again, etc, etc. The HD seems to be making that infamous grinding sound when running.Ran scan disk, and seems errors where found.I had the utility repair them ,to no avail so far. This error has not shown up for about an hour now.Backed up important files.
Good. You probably need to set up some regularly scheduled backups until the drive is replaced.
Sometimes low level formatting will help, some times that is the final nail.
Of course , that will require the complete reload. Ed Fair
