HELP!!! Problem saving values of the Option Box

Good day!! I have an option box that I designed through the wizard. The selection has to be either - English (1) or French (2). When the selection is made the value is not being saved to the table when its viewed.

I hope someone can help.

Is the OptionGroup bound to the table's field ?

Option box? Do you mean a combo box (drop down list of choices), or option buttons (radio buttons)?

Do you mean bound for the Control Source? If so yes. When the form loads up it it has the default selection = 1. When i go and try to select change selection it will not let me select any of them.
