Hi guys, need your help here. I'm teching a POS that's using SQL server (MSDE) as a back end and a VB front end. The problem is that the software in question would inexplicably loose connection with the SQL server. The programmers who wrote the program have written a batch file that reconnects the front end with the repository, however for some inexplicable reason, certain reports cannot access the repository after this has taken place.
The reports in question were written using Crystal reports 7 and when an attempt to view the report is made via the VB software, the following error would occur:
"ODBC Microsoft ODBC SQL Server drive. SQL Server Invalid Object Name Drawer Audit"
I could actually view the table in question (DRAWER AUDIT) via microsoft Access 97, and the front end can see the values as well, however when a report is generated that requires that table, the software would err out and kill itself off.
That does make sense to anyone or is someone adding something to the water at work?
Please help as this is a new client and we're trying to keep 'em happy.
TIA.
