All,

I have a problem that started about 1 month ago Please help.
Background: I have a Win2k Server running terminal services and Citrix Metaframe... about a month ago I had a problem with the print spooler service just stopping... users would call and say they c/n print.. I would look on the server and there would be no printers.. when I restarted the print service all is well and that prob hasn't happened again.

Problem: This Win2k Server hosts all network printers for my Citrix Users.. when users print i notice the print jobs still in the que.. the status says printed, but they should be removed from the que, anytime the server is rebooted of if it crashes and restarts all of the old print jobs begin printing, which ties up the printer for long periods of time and user lots of paper... PLEASE HELP!!

Hi,
Are you using the same server for print serving and citrix? I had the same problem when i used one server for both tasks. I used another server for the printers and that solved my problem.

Hi
had the problems with HP network printers.
A thing that helped, was to disable bidirectional
communication to the printer port.

Disabling bi-directional printing solved this problem for me!

Thanks!

Cool. I will try disabling the bi-directional port on the networked HP. I was having the same issue without citrix.
