IS-IT--Management
I have a superstack 2 netbuilder 227 and a 221, also a superstack 2 hub.
I'm a little bit green at routing, I'm more of a desktop/hardware guy. What I would like to do is set these up at my house so that I can practise at home. I'm taking a CCNA course here in 2 weeks at SMU here in Dallas to learn more about this.
Just giving you some back ground.....
What I would like to do is raun Cat5 from the Cable modem to the router's only Rj-45 jack...then using a cascade cable connect the router to the Hub(is that possible?) then my workstations to the Hub.
So I have 1 IP with my ISP spo the router needs to be able to use DHCP for IP's for the workstations....and also I would prefer it to be able to obtain it's IP dyanamically from the ISP so I don't have to assign a static one to it.
Any Info AT ALL will be very appreciated
thanks
John
