Help please on Migrating access data project from sql 7.0 to sql 2000

I am attempting to move a access 2000 data project from sql server 7.0 to sql server 2000 I have used the various wizards to copy the database from sql 7 to sql 2000 but when I point the access project at the new database it refuses to work it’s not a login problem because I checked that and there are no Microsoft knowledgebase articles that I can find on it can any one help??
